Accelerated Flight School Arizona

Are you in Arizona and looking to study at a flight school that offers accelerated courses? Then look no further. Sierra Charlie Aviation offers the highest quality in education, and many courses take only weeks to complete.

About Sierra Charlie Aviation

Sierra Charlie Aviation is conveniently based out of the Scottsdale Airport and currently provides flight training under the authority of Federal Aviation Regulations (or FAR) Part 61.

Accelerated Flight School ArizonaFAR Part 61 is simpler and more flexible than its FAR Part 141 counterpart. Although Part 61 requires minimum logged flight time of 40 hours for the Private Pilot certificate while Part 141 requires only 35 hours, the national average for earning a private pilot certificate is 60 to 75 hours, so the difference is inconsequential for most students.

Federal regulations require certain subjects to be taught, but, unlike the more rigid structure of Part 141 schools, the Part 61 instructor can rearrange the lesson content and sequence of the program to enable you to complete your training faster.

Sierra Charlie Aviation’s training team is made up of highly experienced Certificated Flight Instructors (CFIs) who have trained everyone from sport pilots to flight instructors and recreational flyers to airline pilots. These outstanding instructors, combined with our Cessna-approved computer-based curriculum, will help you earn your wings quickly with one-on-one instruction that is tailored to your schedule

Why Choose Sierra Charlie Aviation?

  • Our brand-new Cessna 172 Skyhawks are G1000 equipped and coupled with GFC700 autopilot, allowing us to shoot coupled approaches during training.
  • Our Scottsdale location offers some of the finest flying weather in the world with more than 300 days of clear, sunny weather every year.
  • Our team is composed of passionate and highly experienced Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) who have trained everyone from Sport Pilots to Flight Instructors and recreational flyers to airline pilots.
  • We welcome students from across the U.S., Canada, and abroad.

According to a worldwide survey of flight schools, learning to fly is easiest in the Cessna 172 Skyhawk. With forgiving handling characteristics, a sophisticated glass cockpit fitted with G1000 avionics, great visibility and a slow landing speed, it’s a favorite of most student pilots.
