Armon is one of our Certified Flight Instructors here at Sierra Charlie Aviation. Although Armon is the first person in his family to pursue a career in aviation, he has been interested in flying airplanes for as long as he can remember. His fascination started young despite not growing up around pilots and he even played Microsoft Flight Simulator as a kid. Armon didn’t waste any time working towards his goals; he started flying when he was 17 years old and quickly earned all of his licenses. Currently, Armon is a CFII and MEI at Sierra Charlie Aviation.
Armon loves to share his passion for aviation with others and is the co-founder of an organization called AZ Pilot Life. Through AZ Pilot Life, Armon strives to promote general aviation in the state of Arizona through organized Fly-In’s and social media.
Armon hopes to fly for a legacy airline one day, ideally American Airlines, Delta or United. He dreams of flying large jets (in his own words: 737s or bigger) internationally. He would be happy to fly cargo or passenger jets as long as he flies internationally and travels the world. Currently, his favorite place to fly in Arizona is Sedona Airport (KSEZ) because of the gorgeous scenery and fabulous restaurant Mesa Grill Sedona. He recommends the pancakes.
Armon is local to the Scottsdale area, having graduated from Desert Mountain High School. He did all of his flight training here at Scottsdale Airport and is very comfortable with the surrounding locations and airspace. Armon achieved all of his ratings while also attending Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey. Currently, Armon is a Certified Flight Instructor and a full-time Business Management student. Armon doesn’t want to work in the business industry, intending to fly for a living, but he is pursuing a business degree so that he will be a well-rounded pilot. He is also fluent in Spanish!
