Sierra Charlie Aviation currently provides pilot training under the authority of Federal Aviation Regulations (or FAR) Part 61, which offers students more flexibility than FAR Part 141 training. We can customize your training schedule to fit around your work/school schedule, and your instructor can rearrange the lesson content and sequence of our programs to enable you to complete your training faster.

We offer two accelerated CFI training courses—the first (CFI) lasting 3-4 weeks and the second (CFII) lasting 2-3 weeks. Our accelerated CFI courses are a proven success.
In order to become a certified flight instructor, the following requirements must be met. You must:
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Read, speak, and understand English;
- Hold a commercial pilot single or multi-engine certificate with instrument rating;
- Hold at least a current third-class FAA medical certificate;
- Achieve a score of 70% or better on the FAA Flight Instructor knowledge test.
While we cannot do anything about your age or linguistic abilities, we can and will prepare you for you FAA flight instructor knowledge test. Your training will include all systems on the aircraft, instrument regulations, instrument approach procedures, and endorsements for instrument ratings.
If you do not yet hold a commercial pilot license, we can offer you our commercial pilot training program before you begin your CFI training.
