Best Aviation School in Arizona
Sierra Charlie Aviation is a Cessna Pilot Center that provides the top-quality, professional pilot training you would expect from one of the best aviation schools in Arizona and the U.S.
Sierra Charlie Aviation is proud to have been selected in 2016 and 2017 as one of the top flight schools in the country by The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the world’s largest aviation association, as evidence of our high standard of accomplishment in flight training.
We welcome students from across the U.S., Canada and abroad. Our pilot training program is designed to give you the best value. If you are already a licensed pilot, we offer extended and recurring training programs and instrument flight training. Just let us know your goals, and we’ll create a program that meets your unique needs.
Advantages of Training at Sierra Charlie Aviation
Accelerated Training: Sierra Charlie Aviation is a FAR Part 61 aviation school. A FAR Part 61 program is simpler than a FAR Part 141 program and is ideal for students who need a more flexible program to help them reach their goals. If you have limited time to devote to training, our Part 61 training course enables you to complete your training in an accelerated timeframe.
Highly Qualified Instructors: Sierra Charlie’s training team is composed of passionate and highly experienced Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) who have trained everyone from Sport Pilots to Flight Instructors and recreational flyers to airline pilots.
Owner and Chief Flight Instructor, Scott Campbell (CFI, MEI), has been honored by AOPA as the Best Flight Instructor in the Southwest Region, and Senior Flight Instructor Tom DeYoung (CFI, CFII) is one of three instructors in the region to be recognized as a Distinguished Flight Instructor.
Top-Notch Aircraft: Our growing training fleet includes two Cessna 172 Skyhawks that are G1000 equipped and coupled with GFC700 autopilot. In production since the 1950s, the 172 is one of the safest general aviation aircraft ever built and a great training aircraft. It makes learning to fly easier, primarily because it has lower takeoff and landing speeds and is very forgiving. More pilots have launched their dreams in a Cessna 172 than in any other aircraft.
Take a Discovery Flight
If you are new to aviation, the best way to decide if flying is for you is through a Discovery Flight. This is the first opportunity for you to take the controls of the aircraft and get first-hand experience in the pilot’s seat. One of our FAA Approved Flight Instructors will take you through a pre-flight briefing and your first flight experience. This first lesson costs only $199 and counts toward your minimum requirements for your license.
We encourage you to choose Sierra Charlie Aviation, the best aviation school in Arizona, for your flight training. Call us today at (480) 474-4115 to find out how we can help you achieve your dream of learning to fly.
